Application for Student Travel Funding
Workshop on Granular Materials in Lunar and Martian Exploration

Feb 2-3 at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida

The Mars Program Office would like to announce that travel funding has been made available for students with Mars interests to attend the Workshop on Granular Materials in Lunar and Martian Exploration. Students must be U.S. citizens. Competitive selection of up to 4 students will be made by NASA Headquarters. Funding will be provided as a reimbursement post-workshop, with up to $750 per award available for transportation, lodging, and per diem.

All interested students are encouraged to contact Marguerite Syvertson (Mars Program Office, mls@jpl.nasa.gov or 818-354-6492) for additional details. An application must be submitted by January 7, 2005, to be considered for this funding. Students will be notified no later than January 20, 2005.
